The 110 CC scooters that have become hugely popular today are giving the motorcycles a run for their money and the Hero Maestro Edge is a case in point. The sharp character lines make the Maestro Edge look a touch above the rest by adding depth to the bodywork. The dual tone rear view mirrors, grab handle at the rear that is body coloured as well as the alloy wheels that are black finished and the exhaust muffler which has gunmetal finish give it that trendy look. But this scooter is not about looks alone.

The Hero Maestro Edge is a neat package of looks, performance and convenience. The external fuel filler cap and the Combi braking system are prime examples and tall riders will find it very comfortable. The under seat storage and bag hook near the floor provide the space needed to carry your shopping bags. While the low end power leaves a lot to be desired, the real power kicks in at higher rpm’s. The mid range and top end of the power band are more than satisfactory.
The scooter is powered by an air cooled, four stroke OHC engine with a single cylinder displacing 110 cc. The engine delivers 8.3 Nm torque @ 6,500 rpm and 8.31 BHP @ 8,000 rpm. The braking system has 130 mm at the front and rear and it is an integrated system that wherein a single lever applies both brakes. The suspension setup consists of telescopic, hydraulic shock absorber at front and a unit swing with spring loaded hydraulic at the back which gives a comfortable ride for both passengers. The 155 mm ground clearance is ample for the average city roads.
The longer wheelbase makes the seat more spacious and convenient. The luggage lamp in the under seat storage and a mobile charger are really a necessity in today’s world which shows the practical thought process of the designers. The semi digital instrument console also includes a service reminder. The multi reflector type headlamp makes night riding quite convenient.
