The Hero Maestro Edge is a neat package of looks, performance, and convenience. The external fuel filler cap and the Combi braking system are prime examples and tall riders will find it very comfortable. The under-seat storage and bag hook near the floor provide the space needed to carry your shopping bags. While the low-end power leaves a lot to be desired, the real power kicks in at higher rpm’s. The mid-range and top end of the power band are more than satisfactory.
The scooter is powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke OHC engine with a single-cylinder displacing 110 cc. The engine delivers 8.3 Nm torque @ 6,500 rpm and 8.31 BHP @ 8,000 rpm. The braking system has 130 mm at the front and rear and it is an integrated system wherein a single lever applies both brakes. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic, hydraulic shock absorber at the front, and a unit swing with spring-loaded hydraulic at the back which gives a comfortable ride for both passengers. The 155 mm ground clearance is ample for the average city road.
The longer wheelbase makes the seat more spacious and convenient. The luggage lamp in the under-seat storage and a mobile charger is a necessity in today’s world which shows the practical thought process of the designers. The semi-digital instrument console also includes a service reminder. The multi-reflector type headlamp makes night riding quite convenient.
