The Dream Neo was first launched in 2013 and the 2016 edition gets a facelift and some other cosmetic changes. While the earlier black and red colour is retained, there are three new colours with refreshed graphics. However to add the premium quotient, HMSI (Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India) has given it a muffler protector that is chrome plated and an emblem on the fuel tank that is 3D. The new look 110 cc motorcycle is another attempt from HMSI to grab a bigger share in this hotly contested segment.
It is currently priced approximately between Rs 42, 30 and Rs 49, 600 (Ex-Showroom Price, New Delhi) but the prices may vary from place to place.
The Dream Neo features the very popular Honda Eco Technology (HET) engine. To a lot of people, the styling may look very plain; however, Honda has always strived to strike a balance between looks and optimum performance and excellent fuel efficiency. Honda also promises better build quality than its competitors.
The Dream Neo is powered by a 110 cc engine which is a single cylinder and four stroke motor. Like all Honda engines, this is also a smooth one. It is capable of delivering 8.25 bhp @ 7,500 rpm and 8.63 Nm @ 5,500 rpm. The company claimed mileage is 74 kmpl which is also well complimented by a large fuel tank of 8 litres. It can reach speeds well in the mid eighties. The high ground clearance of 179 mm with a good suspension setup ensures comfortable rides on the well cushioned ergonomic seats and very little fatigue.
The top model gets the added convenience of an electric start. The pillion rider gets a grab rail and footrests. The pillion rider gets footrests. The headlight is quite bright and should provide adequate illumination at night while the LED tail light will be visible from a distance. There are two trip meters and also low fuel indicator. The overall package of comfort, economy, features and a competitive price make the Honda Dream Neo an attractive proposition in this overcrowded segment. The refreshed looks and graphic styling will also be instrumental in attracting people to this machine.
