Features of Mahindra Gusto 125

The Gusto 125 engine comes with M-TEC technology, which is targeted at enhancing the performance and utility of the scooter. It is powered by CVT and is available in four colour options – Regal Red, Bolt White, Orange Rush and Monarch Black. Mahindra claims that the updates to the 110 have made the Gusto 125 a more powerful and a more fun to ride machine.

The Mahindra Gusto 125 is stable and comfortable even at higher speeds. The engine is refined, however, it does not respond immediately to the twisting of the throttle. The four stroke 125 cc engine with single cylinder delivers 10Nm of Torque @ 5,500 rpm and 8.50 bhp @ 7,000 rpm. The fuel tank capacity is 6 litres. The ground clearance is fairly good and 12 inch wheels coupled with telescopic fork suspension at the front and monoshock at the rear lets you take the tight corners and bad patches with ease.

The Gusto 125 gets the convenience of an electric start as well as a well positioned kick. The seating is cosy and comfortable. Thanks to the suspension, even the pillion rider will have a smooth ride. The Halogen LED pilot lamps provide excellent illumination and make riding at night very safe and comfortable. The convenience of a CVT in day to day city traffic cannot be over emphasised. The overall dimensions also make it easy to handle in tight spaces. Overall, there have been some changes made by Mahindra from the Gusto 110, but are they enough to influence the buyers to opt for the Gusto 125? We will have to wait and watch.
